A profusion of cheerful peachy-pink pastel flowers with golden-yellow centres on strong, upright, branching stems up to 50cm high. China Asters have been cultivated in China and Korea for at least 2000 years and were thought to be introduced to Europe by French missionaries in 1728. They make excellent cut flowers and ornamental cottage garden plants. Open pollinated. Sow seeds in seed trays 4-6 weeks before the last spring frost and transplant to a sunny position when the weather has warmed in fertile, well-drained soil. Full sun. Sowing depth: 3mm
