A reliable French heirloom from the 1800s producing bright orange, smooth-skinned, cylindrical carrots 15-20cm long. Tender and virtually coreless, with a sweet flavour. Performs well in various soil types. Sow direct in moist, well-drained soil and keep moist until germination. For the sweetest carrots, sow while the weather is still warm in early autumn, to allow maturing during the cooler months. Full sun to light shade. Sowing depth: 5mm.
