Italian heirloom with dark green, almost black, slightly wrinkled leaves growing up to 60cm high. Easy to grow, winter vegetable that grows well in cool climates but is also more heat tolerant than other kale varieties, with a sweeter flavour that improves after frost. Leaves can be harvested from 8 weeks. Prefers full sun and rich, moist soil. Frost hardy. Seeds best sown in Autumn. Showing depth 10mm.
