An excellent butterhead variety with soft, buttery, light-green leaves forming loose, tender heads. A very old heirloom dating back to the 1800s in France. Quick growing, and slow to bolt, with a compact habit excellent for smaller plots. Harvest in 8 weeks. Prefers moist, fertile soil. Can be sown from early Spring, and resown as an Autumn crop. Full sun or part shade. Sowing depth: 4mm.
