Heritage Italian variety with mild-flavoured, attractive elongated red bulbs. Can be used raw in salads, or particularly good grilled or roasted. Hardy biennial usually grown as an annual. Sow direct or in seed trays in Autumn and harvest mid to late Summer after tops dry off. Best grown in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Sowing depth: 5mm.
