Pisum sativum
40 seeds. Heirloom variety from Japan. Vigorous climber with vines growing up to 250cm, and large, flat, tender green pods. Can be eaten fresh or cooked, or frozen for later use. Early cropping variety with attractive purple flowers. Sow seeds direct in trenches 5cm deep with a trellis or stakes for support. Sow from late Summer through to Autumn, and Spring in cooler climates. Prefers full sun, in moist, rich, well-drained soil.
