Heavy-cropping early heirloom variety introduced from Spain in the mid-19th century. Tender green pods up to 25cm long and fragrant black and white flowers.Also known as ‘fava beans.’ Young, tender beans can be eaten raw in salads, while mature beans can be blanched and shelled, or stir-fried.
