Italian heirloom from 1890 with bluish-green, compact heads. Harvest central head first to promote plentiful side shoots. Half-hardy biennial. Full sun to part shade and rich, moist, well-drained soil. Seeds can be sown from late Winter to early Spring and again in late Summer to early Autumn. Sow in seed trays and transplant when large enough to handle. Sowing depth: 5mm
