Heirloom variety from 1950 with medium green, crisp leaves and a buttery heart. Romaine type lettuce with upright growth habit. Disease resistant, fast-growing and slow to bolt. Grows up to 30cm in height or can be harvested for baby leaves. Grow from spring to summer in temperate climates, and all year round in the subtropics. Full sun or part shade. Sowing depth: 3mm.
