Papaver rhoeas. 300 seeds.
Shirley poppies are named after the Parish of Shirley, England, where Rev. W. Wilks bred them from a chance flower he found with white variations in 1880. Frost hardy, self-seeding annual. A mix of double flowers in soft pastel shades of salmon, rose, pink and red, growing up to 70cm high. Performs best in full sun in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Sow direct or in seed trays in Autumn through to Winter by pressing seeds onto the surface of the soil. Seeds require light to germinate.
