Large beefsteak-type tomato with heavily ribbed, fleshy, red fruit. Italian heirloom from Florence. Excellent for sauce-making. Indeterminate variety with strong, vigorous vines, requiring support. Grow in full sun in moist, well-drained soil and feed regularly with a liquid fertiliser. Sow in seed trays in Spring and plant out after last frost. Sowing depth 6mm.
